Have a bucking problem after about 35-45 mins of driving

Allright, heres the problem-

Usually after about 40 mins of driving or so is when it starts.

It will kinda miss, or buck. Starts out where youll just kinda feel it "burp" then it gets worse and worse, to where anything passed like 2% throttle it will just buck and not go anywhere. Itll kinda get better if I shut it off for a few mins. But, after its sat for a while and cooled down (like while Im at work- it did it really bad on the way to work today) its fine, like when I left work. I dont think it does it everytime its driven passed 40 mins or so either, like I drove it for almost and hour the other nite and it was fine.

Any ideas on what it could be? I am completely stumped.

How many miles on your spark plug wires?
Sporatic "missing" can be an indication of bad spark plug wires. Look for dark spots on the wires.

Also..
Check your base timing
Do a boost leak check

Thought it might be a boost leak (feels like it) but it does it even when not in boost.

Also, if it was a boost leak, it would do it at all times. Not just after awhile of driving.

Changed plugs and wires. Didnt help. Although one was broken, thank god I checked and changed them.

Ecu maybe?

Its gotten worse, now it does it after about 10 mins of driving.

check your coil pack, ignit, ignition and timing

That couldbe idle surge another common dsm problem , just look it up in the search

Get a Hayes/Haynes (or Mitsu) shop manual & a multimeter & check out your coil pack.

Im going to check my coilpack and timing this weekend.

Another thing, when its doing it, it will free rev fine, and sometimes it will idle higher, at about 1500 rpm.
