ive got a 92 gsx w/ some mods on it .... it used to be really fast but now the car starts to like mis at like 4000k and still rev but really slow and like the car isn't boosting any more... i hear it spool but i dont know if its a leak... i bought a new fmic w/ 2 1/2 in couplers, and i welded the stock blow off valve to one of the pipes... and it still does the problem... i found a crack into the manifold but i welded it all th way around... thats about all that i think is wrong... can anybody help me i had nothing but problems for the past year i owned the car... im trying to sell it so i need it fixed...

Boost leak test also. It's very easy and there's no reason not to based on your problem. Boost leak will also usually cause backfire and black smoke.

i want to do a boost leak test but i rushed out of work today and didn't get the pvc cap... 2morrow im goign to try it... but i dont know... everything is new... today i just took it for a ride ... do u think it could be a injector issue... the wire clips on the top of the injectors are tapped into the harness and black taped ... ### if the wires where crossed would that matter??? thankx for helping me..

There is an acronym that I know of that I think applies here: K.I.S.S. (Keep It Stupid Simple)

You should start off with the easy stuff and work up from there.

One thing that you can do until you get your boost leak tester, is take off your spark plug wires and inspect them for corrosion and a solid connection. You can also take out your spark plugs to make sure that they are gapped correctly. (0.028 - 0.031)

Check your catylic converter. I went over a big speed bump once and smacked it, then my car started loosing power. Went from 15psi to 10psi to 3 psi to nothing. Car was slower then a 1.8l 4G37. Pretty easy check, just pull the cat off look down the pipe for any obstructions.
