Ok guys, my 1g has been acting up, upon hard acceleration it will stutter hard!. also, after a short drive, white smoke has been coming out of the exhaust, dipstick, valve cover etc. sometimes the dipstick will even pop out.

My friends and I believe it to be excessive blowby. We just wanted to see everyone elses ideas/thoughts to confirm or disprove our assumption.

also, if blow by is the problem, we will be checking the valve seats/valves, guides, stem seals, and piston rings and cylinderwalls and rebuild accordingly. Is there anything else we should check as well? the car only has an Intake and TBE. the stock 1g BOV does no recirculate.

you're on the right track, but the proper way would be to do a cylinder leakdown test. Also if it is white smoke, that usually points toward coolant being burned.
 
Ok sounds good.. yeah a leak down test will be performed before any sort of dismanteling takes place, haven't checked the PCV valve. but definately will look up what that is and how to check/change it.
 
Pull all 4 plugs and remove the Rad cap, then make sure the intake and exhaust valves
are closed and use a air compressor to put air in each cylinder. If you have a bad head gasket you will either get water out of one of the other cylinders or get air out of the
rad. As far as the dip stick blowing out I just replaced mine with a new one and all fixed.
 
It could just be something simple like a bad dip stick seal too. If it's got higher mileage it's probably the rings. A leak down test will be able to pin point the problem and save a bunch of time.
