I just installed a short throw shift kit in my TSI. I need a new clutch because the pressure plate is shot. I can't downshift or go into first anymore. Anyway the shifter i put in fit great but is there any tuning involved when putting that in. it feels like it might be going too far in some gears. It might feel wierd because it is a hell of a lot shorter throw too.
One more question... Any one with a TSI AWD, how much is about avrage for a clutch to be put in? I'm buying an ACT Stage 2.
Thanks

If your going to provide the clutch most shops will charge you somewhere around $300 to $400 and some change for labor, but remember if they don't get the part for you they do not warranty their install, so if a local shop can get you a deal on a clutch and do the labor, it may save you headaches in the future if something happens, also from past experience, don't use the throw out bearing that ACT provides, get a oem mitsubishi TOB.

Was the short shifter a B&M? And get the ACT 2600. Very popular but gets the job done for mid to heavy DSM modding.

The short throw was made by Pace Setter. I took it off of my 2.0n/t and put it on the more important car. I'm actually not sure about ACT. I was reading about Centerforce and i heard that they do great with AWD cars. Any one have any sites with good clutch kits that they have themselves or know someon that has one?
