help with my cams

the other day i was inspecting my timing belt and i pushed down to see how much tension it had. when i pushed the intake cam gear moved with it. the exhaust cam stays still like it should but the intake cam can be twisted. can anyone tell me why it does this and if putting in a turbo cam will fix it.

How hard were you pushing it down? No, the turbo cam prob wont fix the problem unless your current cam is in some way broken or unusable, which is unlikely.

i am pushing enough to check the tension of the belt and it is so loose that it goes down a good half inch. the cam twists with the belt and goes backwards. i put some pictures in my profile incase you dont understand what i mean.
