pause n go? vac leak?

ok i have searched but all ive read on here is the problem is under boost or stuttering through the rpm band or up in the higher end....
my problem is when i give it gas it pauses for a sec and then goes,other then that it does not stutter or act weird at all through the power band,only the initail acceleration and after that second or so it accelerates just fine?
oh and the rpm likes to climb by itself and stay but not hop around. so its NOT SURGING...
looked for vac leaks but maybe not in the right places? not sure?

I'd check 2 things.

1- The Air Filter...if it's clogged up bad it'll stop the air from coming through until the turbine spins enough to "suck" more in.

2- Sticky butterfly valve. Get some throttle body cleaner and spray it in there while having someone rev the engine.

Try those.

ok,i just out the hks filter on after i washed i washed that baby, but i havent cleaned the tottle body out,but how could the plate stick when its being yanked open by the cable? thanks though bro i need to clean it anyway....

You yank on the throttle but there's a moment of hesitation for the plate to release which is probably what you are experiencing.

ok i will try that and see what happens. im on my way to go buy some cleaner,thanks....
but why i think there is a vac leak or someting like that is because of the idle issue aswell?
i think they might possbly be related?

Could be the TPS as well....

Sorry, overlooked the idling part....cleaning the throttle body can't hurt anyway

I'd test the Throttle Position Sensor if cleaning doesn't work.

ok bro i have cleaned the throttle body etc...
still doing the same thing?
i havent tested the tps,is there any other way to test the tps if i dont have a 1g logger?
guys im stumpped?

Here's a way to check the TPS without a logger. Although a logger would be best so that you can see the voltage (mine reads .72 per DSMLink which is what it should be).
