Whats left to Do?

Heres my problem, at 1/4,1/2 whatever throttle, the car always boosts but SOMETIMES doesn't accelerate at all. It pops sometimes to. It does this 3 out of 5 times I get on it. The exhaust note changes a little to. The idle is a little rough also. Heres what I did to address the problem:


1. 2 new fuel filters
2. Compression check= 174, 173, 176, 179
3. Boost leak test= Held for 25 seconds, eventually leaked into the head.
4. Ohm-ed the coil, FINE
5. Lucas injector cleaner= Did Nothing WTF
6. New wires, and plugs NGK's gapped at .28
7. New factory FPR

I'm stumped on things to look for. I need someone that know what they are talking about to help me here.

Maybe somethings up with your MAS. Can you swap with any one? Go over the motor and just re-clip all the connections everywhere you can...wont hurt and also clean off battery terminals and grounds, at both sides. If it doesnt work you still know it out of the way.

Raph, you are funny. But I checked that first The tps was adjusted with me and my dad with his scanner. the pcv valve is new to.

I believe its possible. Your boost leak test...did it take 25 sec to fall to zero or just hold the needle around 15-20 for that long. I take about a minutre to get down to 5 lbs and I swear it holds at 1. Even after leaving and comming back if I pull a vac line it will pfftttttt out.

I would get a spray bottle and do the soapy water boost leak.

I filled it to about 25-30 and it was all gone in about 25 seconds. It sounds like its leaking into the head because the air is coming out of the vent and oil fill cap. Is it supposed to goto into the head like that?

Could be leaky valves. If you hear it by the head you should also look at injector seals and also the IM gasket. I would definately do another test with the soapywater...spray it good.

The injector insilators i put on 2 weeks ago, im is good, but the valves uh? How do i get good compression with leaky valves?

did you messure the injectors ? is one of them going? are one off the injector plugs loose?

has the problem been solved?( its been so long since someone answered on this thread)

are you using an open filter(who isnt) and theres just gunk in your Maf? (there are special cleaning sprays available , some peple use oven cleaner )
