i had recently had a short in the car and i soon figured out that the power wire inside the fuel pump assembly had gotten smashed when my upgraded fuel pump was installed causing it to short. so i replaced the wire and i was tightening the nut onto the inside of the pump cover and the bolt snapped clean off. i tried soldering it but the gas just makes it come right off again. is the any other solution or way of keeping that wire on there other than getting a whole assembly from a junk car? thanks.

Mine did the same thing and I just soldered it back on.It's been holding for over a year. Just clean the area very good and scuff it with some 80grit sand paper and try soldering again.

ya that exactly what i did, but it only held for like ten minutes. i guess im not doing it well enough!

is there anyway i could screw a small metal plate on the top of it or is that something i should try to do?
