I just got done putting my car back together from replacing the throttle body shaft seals and installing a plx m-300. When i go to turn the car on i notice the the fuel pump turns on when the key is in the on position and not started. I turned the car on and after a couple seconds it starts idle surging. Then when i turn the car off the afc stays on even with no key in the car, i had to disconnect the battery to make it shut off. Anyone have a clue about what could be wrong?

did you just have the safc installed? And if you did, did you install it yourself? You might have the constant 12volt wire and ignition wire mixed up.

So SAFC will stay on for longer then 5-10 sec right?
Because ECU and fuel pump relay stay powered up for about 5-10 sec after the key is out of ignition. It's normal.
If, however, SAFC stays on for longer then that, then you need to explain what else did you do while changing TB seals and installing WB.

it used to take the afc a little bit to shut off after i turned the car off, but now it just wont shut off at all. The afc and wideband are the only things i did and i even unhooked the wires for the wideband and it didnt make a difference. the power was hooked up the the stereo power and the ground was just a chassis ground.

Where are you taping for power on your SAFC?

i guess the problem is the ecu. I have and eprom in it with a chip from dsmchips.com and i swapped it out with my stock one and everything was fixed. I dont know if the eprom is salvagable or not. Anyone know who does work on these ecu's?
