Ecu Problem

Well today i went to start the car, and well it just did'nt want to stay running so i decided to pop the ecu out, and there are def pieces missing from the board... almost seems like they were melted. Now im just not sure where i can get a reliable ecu??? I wish i could have some luck with this car. oh and im not even sure what ecu to get... i have a 90 awd talon someone please help

Here is a nice chart that will list the part numbers for a 90 ECU. Remember that a 91-94 ECU will work with some slight modifications.

One more thing, when you refer to your ECU as having melted areas are you refering to the capacitors leaking? If so, it is a common problem that can normally be fixed. Not sure if you know what I am refering to but the capacitors are the cylinders in the first pic of the second link that I posted.

yeah they do look like they are leaking.... so what should i do have it sent out and fixed?

yeh mine did the same thing just either get another one or send urs out.
