Ignition Fuse kees Blowing NEED HELP

so i finally put everything back together ( re ringed my block) and i go to hook the battery up and it sparks real bad when i put the alternator positive on (square connection to the battery) so eventually i say Screw it and i'll just run it without the alternator i just wanna see the engine start. So i turn the key to ON and in about 3 seconds the Ignition fuse blows. I've disconnected everything i would of touched or taken off while i was working on the car and its still doin it. SO i have bad short somewhere but how do find it. I tried to trace back the wires for the ignition fuse but they go everwhere and there isnt a decent wiring diagram that i can follow. SO now here i am SOL and out of fuses, any ideas???

also is there an easier way to test it without blowing all of these fuses.

o yeah also, when i would unhook the alternator and hook the cable up to the alternator the horn would go on????

and sorry if it doesnt make alot of sense i got a killer head ache now from dealing with this. Honestly i just wanna get the car started and i'll take it to some shop and hvae them deal with it.
