When i am accelerating the car seems to hesitate and "bog" till i get to 3,000 rpms?? When i get there it pulls nicely. What could be causing this. Bad fuel filter, boost leak, vaccum leak? any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Well, your turbo might be spooling right around there, but it's also possible you have a minor boost leak somewhere. Do a boostleak test and check everything out. Then go from there.
 
The problem I see is you're using the stock AUTO turbo. (13G)
I have one aswell, and it's lousy at boosting throughout the powerband.
 
Check spark plugs: Are they NGK BPR6ES's gapped to .028? If not, make them so.
Check spark plug wires: Have you replaced them in the last few hundred thousand miles?
Do a boost leak test.
While the intake pipe is off, check the turbo for shaft play.
Are you using premium gas?
 
Well, i have a 14b i need to rebuild. I have the eprom ecu in my garage that is set for 450's so ill do that, all i need is the rebuild kit, Boost controller, Boost Gauge, and Injectors.

Spark Plugs are brand spankin new NGK BPR6ES's and they are gapped properly. The plug wires are stock, from the factory im guessin, im gonna do a check with the ohm meter, or just go get some new ones. I use super 91 pump gas. Will do a boost leak test and post results. No shaft play.
 
I am throwing a code, will check when i get home, Blocked of the egr, so i was thinkin it was just cause of that, i have seen it happen, Im gonna check.
 
I had that problem once and it was the wires that plugged in to the MAF. When I first bought the car, some of them were bad, and cut so I had to replace them. Make sure that yours is plugged in, if it is not that is the way the car acts when it is unplugged.
 
Just curious, do you idle ok still? This morning I was accelerating and all the sudden it started hesitating and my acceleration went all to hell, but I idle perfect. My panic thought was turbo...but thinking about it I'm leaning toward plugs/wires.
 
Now every now and again I have the same problem. I'll drive perfectly fine for 6 days out of the week, then maybe for like 10 minutes my car will seem to bog down when I get on it. Turbo spools to 15 lbs, but it feels like I'm not going anywhere. 14b turbo.. Replaced MDP sensor (MAF on TB), plugs & wires. Then I played with the MAF leading to the turbo, the plug had some loose (I had problems with this before, as the wires had shorted out). So double check to make sure the MAF on the turbo intake is okay (the box with the catacombs). Sadsm mentioned it earlier, I'd check that if changing the plugs/wires don't work! Hopefully you all get it worked out. Good luck :(
