I HAVE A 5 SPD 1995 EAGLE TALON TSI AWD , AN IJEN INTAKE THATS IT

so i start my car and the belts squel until its warm sometimes it stays and sometimes it goes, but im dring home today and the belts are squeling away as usual and then clung noise and i have no power steering and all my lights in the car dim but the car doesn't shut off or anything. then i pull over, and pop the hoo and find that my altinator belt and power steering belts are gone and the antifreeze coolent tank is bubbleing like crazy. so i wait for it to cool down and then i open up the coolant tank and the rubber hose is PUSHING STEAM OUT of it.so i let the car cool down and then try to make it home which is about a couple of miles away and then it starts to over heat like crazy. then i pull into a gas station check again and theres no antifreeze coolent in the tank any more and notice that its all on the floor and crap.i borrowed some and put it to the second line. remember that my altenator belt is off and so is the powersteering belt at this point and i trying to make it home safe.:talon: :toobad:

THANX 2 ALL THAT HELP thanx again if u need any picx let me no cause i can get some

Your altenator belt also works the water pump so if it is gone, coolant doesnt circulate through the engine. This in turn causes it to overheat.

I would check the harmonic balancer(crank pulley) for wear or failure before judt replacing the belt. It is a common problem and the main cause of throwing the belt. The second main cause of belt loss in just a loose/improperly tensioned belt. It seems you are fairly inexperienced in the dsm world so your first upgrade should really be a factory service manual. It will teach you more than you think.

hey thanx for the help :thumb:

and also the following lights have come on my dash when this happen Battey, brake and coolent do u think that i caused any damage to the engine at all. also i have the factory service manual and i planing on geting that thing fixed 2marrow at work. how did u know that i was inexperienced man i must have the newbie slang i guess LOL but is there anything else i can do and how much do u think it would cost for the belt.:talon: OMG

How hot did you get bthe engine? If you really overheated it you my have warped the head or may have blown a head gasket. You may want to pull the spark plugs and see if their is any coolant in the cylinders, but your probabaly ok.
Good luck
