Hey everyone. This is my first post , and i need some help. I hve a 90 Gst and I have basic mods" FPR,Evo3mani,Evo3o2,Mbc,255Fuelpump, and i was doing around a 130 on the freeway and everything seemed fine. When I get on the streets I feel no boost. My gauge was reading zero. and my engine is making weird sounds. I took off my intake to spin the turbine blades to see if they moved manually and they do. My car idles fine, but no boost and wierd sound........................hopefully u guys can help!

Im willing to bed you might have cooked your turbo.....how long were you doing 130 for ? What does the sound sound like ? HOws is your shaft play ? These turbos wont last long under a constant high RPM pull along a long period of time. Or you could have blown a Intercooler pipe off a little bit. Also do a boost leak test.

I'm gonna have to say the same... :thumb:

can u explain this further noise, i had tb bolts loose and it sounded like i had a turkey call as a bov. it was crazy. no boost just alot of noise.

I was doing this high speed for about 1 minute, " i was racing a S2000" I already ordered a new turbo "evo316g" as well as a FmIC. But the sound doesnt seem to come from the turbo area more the head or cams. It gets louder when i slightyrev. And how do u tell its shaftplay?

Take the intake hose off of the turbo and see if you can move the bearing (the nut in the center of the compressor wheel) around.
If you can feel the wheel hit the housing, it's done. There should be minimal shaft play.
You still need to run a Boost Leak Test though.
