Will the stock 2g SMIC get the job done with the 14b, or should I look into switching to a FMIC. I won't be running over 15 PSI.

If you went to a FMIC on that turbo and boost, you would notice more lag from having a bigger system for that small turbo to flow through.

You'll be fine on the SMIC. I run the 14b on the stock IC and haven't noticed any problems, but I will be using a FMIC as soon as I get the pipes made for it. As for the "lag", someone on here once calculated that the difference in spool time required to fill the extra space is less than half a second longer for a FMIC, so it's not even appreciable.

I want to upgrade to a FMIC, but I don't have the funds yet. Do you have any suggestions on a good FMIC to buy while keeping the price as low as possible. I am new to DSM's and learning as I go.

The ebay SSAC FMIC kit is bad a**, 300$ shipped to your door, there is a very big thread in the bolt-on section.

Def. worth the money!!!!

I will attest to the ebay FMIC kit, i love mine.
However, as much as you may want one, this may hurt you more than it helps you. A 14b at that boost will gain a lot of lag from the HUGE core of the intercooler. It's your choice, a stock smic with hard pipes would do you just fine with that setup. Good luck to whatever you choose to do!
