Ok heres the story, i feel like a complete idiot, but anyways.. I was rewiring my fuel pump at night with little light, and im running my power wire through the boot that the main harness goes through, well make a long story short i drilled into the harness. I drive my car, my speedometer goes crazy and i throw a cel drive home and noticed what i have done. Well i rewire everything up, car runs speedometer is working right but im still throwing a p0125 excessive time to enter closed loop or whatever. So i got my pocketlogger, and i have bank 1 0.0v o2 reading. My temp is reading as normal. So i tried 3 different o2 sensors and nothing. Well im still driving the car runs really rich tho, and i notice once in a while my o2 voltage will start working as normal for maybe a few secs, than quicks and goes back to 0. So did i fry my ecu or do i have a short somewhere. Someone please help. Thanks

george

yes i repaired it, i know dont use slice connectors, but its only temporary untill i get my new harness and i check continuity on everything from like the place where the o2 sensor plugs into the harness, to the ecu, to the other o2 sensor, and other stuff, i look in the chiltons engine wiring diagram and made sure i had no open circuits, and everything looks good. I compared the voltage going to the o2 sensor with the after cat one and everything is idenical except for the rear one is getting voltage from the signal wire and the front one isnt. its got to be either my ecu or another bad bosch o2 sensor.

Check the voltage close to your ECU, if there is voltage, follow your way up from the ECU. I just think you need to solder the connection.

quick question, the signal is coming from the 02 sensor right, so wouldnt i want to check close to the o2? im not a wiring guy so bare with me. Another question, say i go to my o2 sensor and cut only the signal wire, will i read voltage off that wire on the o2 side?
