I have searched and searched and searched and still can't figure out my problem. I was driving home the other night and got on it in 2nd gear and thenlet off and went to press the gas again and nothing. The vacuum moved form 16ish-0 everytime i pressed the gas but no exhaust as in no spark at all. Car dies and i go to restart it and it is running on 2 cylinders. I have no spark coming out of the 2/3 coil. I have swapped coils and still no spark on 2/3. Plugged a new transistor in and still same problem. Have a new CAS and still the same problem. Checked for resistance on the ecm signal wire from cas and crank angle sensor, the transistor and the plug to the coils and all are fine. I am beginning to think my computer went bad but i have read it is not very common in 2g's. Any insight into the problem would be great.

Check out the caps in your ECU..If you have one that leaking, replace the cap with a new one of your good with a soldering iron...Even if your not good, give it a shot anyways...You may have read this before, but maybe not...But in the last few years, every corner of the electronis world has been indated withcheap Cap's that are prone to leakage......Then they made it in to our cars electronics....

With electronics, anything is possible. I have a 99 n/t no start right now that may be a broken power wire to the pcm. All I know is it won't throw codes and won't allow me access to the data. You might scan it for codes to see if any exist. If I find my particular problem, I'll post it to see if it can help you.

Good Luck
