Ok, I have a 1G AWD TSI. My timing belt snaped last week so I replaced the head, cams, and every belt on the car. Now today I finally got to drive it again and it feels like I'm not getting any boost. The stock boost guage is working but it still feels like no boost. All the piping is tight and snug. All vaccumes are on and in the right places. The car will rev but no boost. Anyone got an anwser for me? :talon:

definetly do a boost leak test, but how does it idle? does it drive without hesitation? Without having an aftermarket boost gauge you really have no idea if it's making boost or not, it could be anything from timing being off, etc.
WHen you say its not boosting, do you mean the car feels like its weak, making no power, or just plain slow?

If it's actually not getting ANY boost (i.e. an aftermarket boost gauge will only read up to 0psi), then check to see if your wastegate actuator arm is intact. These can come loose, not allowing any pressure to build up in the system, equalling Zero Boost.

Are you able to hear the turbo spooling at all, and can you hear the BOV between shifts? If the answer to these is "no", then definitely check that wastegate actuator arm. When it comes loose, it'll keep the turbo from spooling.

Problem solved thanks to all that helped! The timing was off just a little bit at the crank sensor.

Really? That made "no boost"? Hmm. That's interesting, I've never really heard of that before.
At any rate, glad you got the problem solved ;)
