Launch question

How the heck do you launch a TSI I have tried everything and i still cant get it? I rev up to 4200 rpm and the car still wont launch like it should from what vfaqs said. Any suggestions?

What kind of clutch do you have? I say rev higher and feather it.

I always slip the clutch from about 5 grand, works great for me. Just be prepared to get thrown into the seat.

amen nick..before i got dsmlink..i used to take it up to about 5200, feather it, slip, and then dropp once it started catching....pulled many 1.6 60fts that way..hope it works for you...but like already stated...what kind of clutch do you have?

6000rpm and slip the clutch a little and be ready to hit 2nd gear rite away.lauching an awd is an art and there is text book answer(practice,practice).

I had an ACT2600 and would rev to 5k and slip it until I felt it catch and dump it.

How long do you let it slip? An extra long slip could resulty in a "mushy" launch.

i do the exact same, i have an act 2100...even though i'm fwd i hook like awd at the track with the slicks

my buddy had a galant vr-4 and tried to just dump the clutch...it bogged on him every single time
