Mitsubishi Eclipse AWD automatic. Car ran great until the motor lost oil pressure, and probably fried the bearings.

I'm thinking about buying this eclipse but.. the obvious is what exactly needs replaced to fix the oil pressure problem and how hard would it be to replace bearings if they are fried??

That is a hard question.

Best case senerio - replace oil pump and covers, replace rod bearings. Done. Pretty easy can do it with the engine installed.

Worse case senerio - New engine. More cost but isn't too hard to install.

Without knowing more it is hard to say.
