OK i have a 90 talon tsi awd 5 speed and i just put a new motor in it and jdm tranny (new) as well a new grip force stage 2 clutch looks like act but with the race puck setup u know what i mean?? its not really a disc more like a puck disc you all know what i mean LOL!! Anyways its brand new flywheel is good cleaned the heck out of them with brake cleaner to make sure there was absolutely no oil or grease on them before i put them on and well now its all done i go t to take it of i get a bit of shutter like oil was on the disc!?? Any idea what this sounds like?? i haven't a clue?? And tranny is good and tight against the block as well!! Are the race disc's suppose to shutter like that?? i think not?? Any help be great thanks :thumb:

With a 6 puck you will need to slip the clutch a lot more than with a full-face.
If you drop this clutch @ 5k the way you would with a full-face it will tear all of the teeth off of first gear and the input shaft.
Practice your release and you'll get it fairly smooth but chatter is the nature of this beast.

Are you serious that they are like that?? That sucks i would never buy one it came with the car, on my 98 gsx i have that act 2600 and it is as smooth as can be! Ya i dont like taht i got pissed teh other day and reved it up to like 3500 and slipped my foot of it and it roasted the tires for a second and i was off LOL!! I guess i will have to work on it!!! Thanks man! :thumb:

The organic disc will only put up with so much heat before it pukes and turns to kitty hair. The 6 puck likes heat.... The 6 puck will transfer much more torque but at the expense of smooth engagement. Be very careful if you still have the O.E. flywheel, a six puck can generate enough heat to crack the casting and cause it to frag.
