I have a 91 Talon TSI. The bottom end was just rebuilt as was the head. The car was blowing smoke under and after boost so I sent the turbo to Texas turbo. They determined it was in sad shape and would require $495.00 worth of work so I purchased a new one. After install the car still blows smoke. I have done a compression test with a result of 175 for all four, and a wet test with little change in the results. There is definitely alot of oil in the intercooler tubes. I am out of ideas.

1) Update your car profile
2) Clean out your pipes and intercooler with gas. Let it sit for a good 12 hours afterwards.
3) Check your valve guide/seals
4) Update your profile.

if your car is blowing blue smoke and you have already changed your turbo, then chances are your headgasket blew and is passing oil into the combustion chamber.

billgsxr, if the problem is fixed, update your thread. If not, how are your pcv valve and breather routed off the valve cover? Have the dipstick pop out lately?

The car is still burning oil. I have changed the PCV and yes it and the breather are all routed as stock. I am being told that it cant be the valves because the plugs are not fouled.

Problem solved I guess. Even though compression tests both wet and normal turned out ok I must have a ring problem. Sunday after a short test run down the highway the dipstick came out and blew oil all over the engine compartment.

rings and or headgasket failure to check the rigs you need to pull the ehad anyway just look at the gasket surface and see if you can vivsibly see an path where oil was going across it :laser:
