when the car was turned over the #2 cylinder filled up with antifreeze, so warped head or HG didn't seal but i was wondering is this a major problem (cost a lot to fix?) and what would be needed to fix this? thanks ahead of time guys :thumb:

You could start by filling out your vehicle profile. No matter which engine you have though, the parts to do it right will cost close to $400 if you are able to do it yourself and the head doesn't need work.

the thing is I'm buying the vehicle with the problem and i was just trying OT find out if it would be worth it to buy or if I'm just getting myself into a pile of trouble and gonna be spending a but load of money on it fixing it every 2 seconds( it would be my first car and i am going to try and fix it up)

yeah is fixable just make sure u take it to a local machine shop
to get the head resurface and meek sure they check for clearance

If you are getting a good deal on a car that isn't running, and you have the ability to fix it yourself, this could be a good opportunity for you. Done right, the repair should be good for longer than the rest of the car.

If it were me, the purchase would have to be a really sweet deal though. When I've changed head gaskets, it's been on otherwise perfectly sound, running vehicles and I knew their histories. When I was done, they were again perfectly sound. Can you be sure that there are not other problems with the car that will not be evident until you get the HG replaced?
