fWanting to buy a car that doesnt run

I've researched for any possible answers for the car's problem. The best answer I can think of is is leaking caps in the ecu. In the classifieds section there is a Talon TSi for 3500 but has an electrical problem. The seller turns the key and doesnt get interior lights, car doesnt turn over, battery is new and holds charge fine, alternator may need a change and ECU is probably the cause. The mods are listed in my vehicle profile as well. I just want an idea of what I could possibly be getting myself into.

Nobody has any idea's of what I can check when I get the car?

your car will turn over even with out a ecu installed
the last time my car did that it as a wiring problem between the clutch switch and the starter relay I bypassed the relay by jumping the relay plug its under the dash above the fuse block the middle relay jump the two top terminals and try that
be for some one dogs me read the wiring diagram in the repair manual and you see that the only perpose of the relay is for operation of the clutch switch and if the car is a 7 bolt you should not crank with the clutch engaged anyway
as for the inside lights it is probably a fuse
