I was thinking of upgrading my stock O2 sensor to a Bosch wideband oxygen sensor. I was wondering what will be involved when upgrading it. Will it be any different since I have a EVO III O2 housing and what would be involved when wiring it.

you do know that the stock ecu has no idea what a wideband is telling it right? you need to have something else to moniter and make use of a wideband.

Short answer, just popping on a wideband in place of your ECU will not work.

In order to replace your stock narrowband with the Wideband, your going to need a narrowband signal coming from the wideband. Some kits give you the option of both wideband (for tuning) and narrowband signals (to ECU.) check out the Innovative LC-1 kit. It has the 0-1v for the ECU, and 0-5V for AFC tuning.
