altenator bracket

i would like to know the alternator bracket with the bend in it where does it bot up to so i can put tension on the belt

Well just find your alternator, and there should be something that looks like this on the bracket. (sorry for the horrible paint drawing Lol, it was the best I can do in a short amount of time, and I believe almost all tension setups are basically the same.)

The other end goes on the closest water pump bolt. Not sure which end he's talking about but here's both:

Ok I searched the gallery and I searched my manuals and I cant find a clear picture of how the alternator is mounted. Can anyone help me out???

scroll down to 'alternator removal procedure'...there's pictures there...it's for a 1g...but i'm sure it not much different for a 2g...

sadly those pics are kinda small....I've got a good idea oh how it mounts on the bottom but I'm trying to see what the top bracket looks like and where it mounts
