1993 Eagle talon Timing problem please help

I changed my timing belt and now the car backfires like crazy and will not start. I brought up the number 1 cylinder to top dead center and aligned the cam markings together. What am I doing wrong please help.

CAS 180* out.
Did you time the oil pump also?
There's more than just the cam's that need to be aligned.

Did you follow the VFAQ exactly?

When you say #1 is at TDC, are the camshaft alignment dowels at 12 O'Clock?

Did you accidently flip the crank sprocket backing plate around? That will throw you off about 10-15deg.
