my dad just bought my an eclipse gs without asking me about them. i did so much research to find the right one and i found a few gsxs i wanted to look at! with the price he bought them with, i could have gotten a good gsx too. damn o well, not complaining. anyways! i just drove it for the first time and i found the following things wrong with it.

- radio doesnt work
- left speakers dont work
- rpms drop like mad when ac is on
- both front axels are broken!
- something wrong with either transmission or clutch. first gear grinds like mad! and sometimees 2nd

the main things im worried about is the 1st gear griding because it is so damn annoying. it happens almost everytime i stop and put the car into first (it feels like something is still moving or something). does anyone know what might be causing this and/or how to fix this? also the radio, does anyone know how i can check if the wires are all okay? if anyone has any other info or fixes on any of the above issues, please help me :[ thanks

What do you mean the axels are broken? If only first and second are grinding than your synchros are probably bad. I would try changing the gear oil with some bg synchro shift and see if that helps.

im not too sure, but when i got to get my car smogged, i asked the guy the check everything on the car since i just bought it and when he lifted the car, he told me the 2 front axels were broken. it wasnt like dented in or anything, i think it was just snapped or something. not too sure x[ cant really tell while driving but he told me its dangerous to drive around like that.
