So after being good for a few months, my TSi had started being naughty again. Heres what happens:
im driving down the street, or maybe just pulling out of the parking lot at work when suddenly:
1.my car starts jerking violently back and forth
2.the "anti-lock" break light flashes on and off
3.my rpms bounce down and up between 500 and 1000 at a time...example 2000, 1000, 2000,1000, 2000, 1000, etc
4.then when i take my foot off the gas sometimes it dies, or sometimes it keeps going
5.this process is sometimes accompanied by a backfire that sounds loud like a shotgun
6. i turn the car off and restart it, and everything is just fine again
7.sometimes the car dies for no reason also, but sometimes when all this other stuff is going on too
Anyway its been doing this on average of once a day, and the anti-lock break light ALWAYS starts flashing when this is going on.
please help with you dsm detective skills, i have no idea whats going on, the car runs fine b4 and after doing this...
(also youll probably ask: ive got NGK plugs and magnecor wires, less than 4kmiles old)
