Buying a 96 Gst eclipse i need some help....

sup guys. im gona buy a 96 Gst for 400$.. im a member of z28.com. and i ask the question in the website, but they told me this kind of cars have alot of problems and that they r slow.... but i know they dont know nutting about eclipse's because we only tlkabout f-bodys.... now my question is should i buy this car? is it true that they have alot of problems?

the car has bad paint all burn, it has a lil crack in the front bumper, it has no radio, and thats about it.. it lowerd 1.5-200 inchs, it has a fartcan , rpm meter... but the problem im more worried about is that the rpms sit at about 2500 when its its on N, and it goes to 1500 in gear.. oh its a M5... any comments?

I would probaly keep away from it unless you have money to pour into it, sounds like it has alot of problems.

as far as performance numbers check out 1000q.dsm.org GSTs stock are 210hp. from what i understand the stock motors can deal with upto about 400hp if you do it right. $400 for a 96 GST is dirt cheap so im guessing you either typed it wrong or its pretty messed up. although with the money you are saving you can get a 6bolt built and bored out and fix up whatever else is goin on. i hate when posts sit here for however long, especially when they are time sensitive so i thought id help you out. let me konw if you have any other questions and maybe more details about the condition of the car and motor.
