Front case won't come off !! arrrgh!!

WTF am I doing wrong? The front case is off the block by 1/4" but it won't F'in come off!! I'm yanking and putting screwdrivers in there and it absolutely will not come off!! Is the rear balance shaft still attached somehow? I have removed everything like the FAQ shows (sprockets, all bolts) It feels like something from behind won't let go.

Keep tugging. Those balance shafts are a pita to get out.

dont know if its the same on a 2g as a 1g , but oil pan has to come off as well, and did you remove the plug? there is a bolt under there as well for the rear bs i beleave. I just did mine. it did take some tapping but after it cracked the block , just pull strate out. Good luck.

I'm sorry, thats totally wrong. I had to take off the oil pan and unbolt the pick up tube that is connected to the front cover. Luckily I did not keep tugging.
