Okay, so i took my car for a spin today and wheni got past like 2500 to about 3000 rpm my ABS light flickers and then the car feels like it hits fuel cutoff....kinda like a hard jerk and then the check engine light comes on....I just replaced the plugs and i think the gap is way too big....just doesn't seem right, i followed the gapping in the Hynes manual but they say it in Inches and when converting it to cm i think i did it wrong. what's the proper gap for turbo plugs. Thanks

I know this thread is old but there doesn't seem to be any resolution. My car just started doing this exact thing today and I'm curious what your problem ended up being. I'm going to get my alternator and my battery tested in a little bit so hopefully one of those is bad, even though it doesn't act like a bad battery or alternator.

Well, since he has not been online since September of '05, (last post was in the "officially out" thread) I don't think he'll answer you...

Back on topic, did you find out what code it was for the CEL?

Ya because my car started doing this actually a little bit after i changed my spark plugs and im not positive that i did it all correctly. What happens is, ill be driving and once i hit around 2500 to 3000 rpms my car just jerks like it doesnt want to go any where. Its seriously like i just hit a car in front of me. I think i might of made my gap to big. But what i was told is that my flapper is stuck and wont let off the acess pressure. Can any one give any ideas becuase if so i dont want to get rid of my 16g and put on my spare 14b
Can any one tell me if gapping the spark pluggs a little to big would do this or does it sound more like the flapper is stuck and it isnt letting of the access pressure?
