howell,
New Jersey
hey, i have a weird problem. it's not exactly a hot start problem, but i didnt know what else to call it. i have no ideas what it could even possibly be.
a short background on the car:
92awd
660's
255
afpr
dsmlink with the preprogrammed settings for 660's
Problem: when car is cold started(overnight cool off), it runs and drives fine.
after driving for a while, if i turn the car off and wait about 20 mins before i turn it back on, the car starts and idles, but throws a cel, and the exhaust note is changed considerably. it sounds really choppy (as opposed to smooth when normal) almost as if the car's running on 3 or less cyl. the car drives in this state, but i don't push it at all b/c i have no idea what the problem is, i dont want to blow it up. if i turn the car on right after i turn it off (10 mins or less), it is fine. DSMLINK is not hooked up yet b/c of the lack of a usb converter, but it has the preprogrammed settings for 660's in the chip in there. At first, i thought it could be a clogged fuel filter, or i need to change plugs/wires, but why is it only after i let it cool off for a while?any help would be appreciated.
thanks
