New motor. 4k Idle?

So I just finished installing a new motor and doing the AT>MT swap. First ever motor swap for me. Well, I went to start it up and she fired right up. Right on up to 4k and sat there. It had a few surges, but it's trying to idle at 4k. What all needs set when putting a new motor in. I'm using all the old sensors. The TPS and ISC hasnt been messed with. I'm not so sure my throttle cable is right though. Thanks.

check to see if the throttle cable is stuck on anything causing it to hold back the cable. That's odd, I doubt it's sensor related. Have you tried lowering the idle using the TB setscrew?

I unhooked the throttle cable and the started it up and the idle dropped to 1800 rpms. I the cable isn't kinked on anything, I did have to bend it up a little where it comes out of that box. Any ideas what could be causing this? In addition, my downpipe is smoking also. I'm thinking it's just the oil thats dropped onto the flex burning off. I don't know what it could be otherwise. have you tried messing with your bisc screw(basic idle sensor screw)? try screwing it in and out until you get the idle you are looking for.you're going to have to take it for a drive everytime because when you put the car in nutral ,and let it cost. it feels like the car wants to bog out. so whatch out for tightening it too much.its riggt on your throttlbody,and when you find where you want your idle at you can just fill the screw hole with gasket sealer, so it wont back out on ya.good luck.
