Engine Wont Go Over 3K RPMS

Hello, I have a 98 Eagle Talon TSI, Automatic. I bought a TurboXS Type-H-RFL BOV I hooked it up to the stock bov piping with a little bit of modifications, I removed the restrictor fromt the turbo piping. The car was fine for about a month then it wouldn't go over 3000RPMs, I added washers to make the spring harder and the problem was still there. I checked the vacuum lines and everything else. I can't find anything. If I put the pedal to the floor you can hear the BOV leak and the engine will not go over 3000RPM's? I hooked up the stock BOV and the problem still persisted. Anyone know what is going on?

I also hooked up a boost gauge and it would peg 20psi and then go back down to 15psi?

Sounds like possibly more then 1 problem.

First off, is the MBC installed correctly? My boost was anywhere from 20 PSI, and then sometimes 15. I kept trying to adjust it, and it kept on doing it.

Turned out the tubes going into the MBC were reversed (hooked up opposite ends of where it should be).

Does the car idle nicely? Anything else noticeable besides just not revving past 3K??

Actually I'm kind of having the same problem with my car at the moment. Is your car idling right? And when you say won't go above 3000 rpms, do you mean it just stops there, or flutters there for a second before going up, or bounces between 3 and 4?? Basically my car is running like crap, won't idle, bounces, and turns out my O2 sensor is dead. Haven't had a chance to change it yet, but since pretty much same problem I though I'd just throw that in.

well if it's an rfl that means that it's not recirculated right? That is probably why your idle is so poor

If you put the pedal to the floor and the boost comes on you can hear the boost leaking out, it sounds like a supercharger, I put the stock BOV back on and recirculated it and it has the same problem the idle is fine, I did have a problem when the rfl was on but we turned the idler screw up a tad, I didnt do a boost leak test because it is obvious it is leaking it's like the wastegate is stuck open or something. However the car will redline with boost in park or neutral
