Ok... I got the engine and the car seperately.
So no, the car did not run when I got it.
I finally got the CORRECT stuff from summit to finish the oil lines.
Put in the fuel, top off the oil. Crank without spark to build the oil pressure like you should.

Put the plugs in and it fires right up but runs like absolute crap. Forget an idle, feathering the gas constantly to keep it running.
Take it to 3K to get something steady (Then hear the sweet whine of the T4) and it was music to my ears. Not to mention I blow off some pipes that I did not have clamped.

But none the less, the longest I got it to run was about 4-5 minutes. The rest is 30 sec -1:20.

But now I cannot get it to start for anything.

While keeping the RPMs down, I had steady vacuum. -17.
I know I need to adjust the timing some, but it is close right now.
Inspection reveals no loose connections, or hose leaks (mainly because I removed just about all of them) So I am going to swap TB's tomarrow to check over the ISC.

So where can I start here? I was grinning ear to ear just to hear the thing run, even as crappy as it was running, it was SOMETHING after 18 months of waiting.

Well, start with the basics. Check to make sure you are getting spark at each cylinder. Make sure all the injectors are working and make sure you have compression. I had the same problem on a rebuilt engine, the machinist cut one of the seats up higher than the rest and didn't cut down the vavle stem to compinsate. The valve was hanging open the whole time resulting in 0 compression.

Well I am not worried about no compression. The thing ran ok.
The last time I tried to start and got anything I pulled the plugs and hey were soaked beyond anything. So I shot brake cleaner on them and brushed them. I am now wondering about the O2 sensor...

So I am thinking now that the cylinders were just soaked, which prevented any chance of firing (at least that is what I am hoping).
So I will get back at it tommarrow and do more trouble shooting.

Half the problem is already done considering it does run...
I did have my 750's in, but since the SAFC2 was both not installed, and set up to lean it out, I pulled those and put the stockers back in pretty quick.

Evidently, the car has been sitting for a while so I would suggest pulling the ecu and checking for leaking capasitors. Mine did something similar when I got it and installed a new engine. By the way, mine sat for 24 mos before I put an engine it it.

already checked before I installed the ECU.
