high oil pressure

i came back from college and now my car has really high oil pressure even at idle. I start the car and the oikl pressure hovers near the max "normal" and it stays there at anywhere over 1700 rpm no matter the bost. is this normal?

High oil pressure is normal on dsm. Does the reading go down if the rpm is less than 1000?

yeah it does. it starts to go near the "normal" low point.

If you have a Balance shaft eliminator kit it would be high. Your pcv valve might be clogged. Mine would bury the H then I got a blow through one from the back of an old intake manifold and its good to go now.
