Hi everyone,
I just finished installing a FMIC on my 92 tsi awd.
took it for a test drive to see if there was any leaks etc...
the car ran great, got to a stop sign about 1/2 mile down the road, when i pulled out 1st and 2nd was fine then in the middle of 3rd there was a loud wooosh sound like the BOV only a little louder while i was accelerating.
(I was watching the boost gauge, stayed at 14 PSI like its supposed to)
I thought one of the hoses might have come off so i pulled over and the car was idleing like crap (just like it does when you disconnect the MAF sensor)
checked all of the hoses, they all looked good, when i started the car back up we noticed alot of smoke coming from somewhere around the left side of the exaust manifold.
Do you guys know what could cause this?
What should i do to start diagnosing the problem?
Any help would be great!
Thanks, Jesse
P.S. the car has about 125000 miles on it.
