first off this is on my friend's 95 Tsi AWD with a t25 and an aftermarket boost gauge
He was running stock intercooler piping with a SSQV and was getting a full 11 lbs of boost on the car
today we started to upgrade that setup, we installed a full aftermarked UICP with a greddy type-rs BOV. The BOV was set to the lowest setting when we put it in, to we turned the adjustment knob around once and tested it out...no boost. We forgot to tigten one of the coupleings, so I tightened it, adjusted the screw on the BOV one more turn, we get 5lbs of boost but then it hits a wall. Turn the BOV again, 5lbs of boost, hits a wall.
So now he's stuck with just 5lbs of boost, I know we should get a boost tester and check the intercooler couplings, but we don't have one on us right now and we need to get it running tonight. What do you guys think it might be, just a leaky coupling on the UICP or what?
