Morning Problems

95 GS-T; 122,400 miles

I've had this problem several times, but not everyday, in the morning, or when the car is cold and I start the car, I notice that it wont go over 600 or 700 RPMS, It just goes from 700 to 300 over and over and in some cases the car dies.

When it does I just start it again and done, it keeps jumping from 700 to 300 sometimes less but wont die again. Usually this takes about 5 or 10 minutes. ( I think it has something to do with the car being cold ) But anyway this is not normal.

Id like to have any advices on what would be the cause.

I don't know why im starting to think this might be something serious

Check th FIAV, fast idle air valve. It's suppose to keep idle higher during cold start until car reaches operating temperature.

How can I check that ? Is there anything I should look for on my engine, or Ill have to scan ?

The FIAV is located at the tb, I have a 1g so I will have to look it up in your service manual.
