Does Anyone Have A Definative Answer About The Ssqv Bov Being Bad For The Turbo...with Its Excessive Fluttering, With Most Bov You Can Tell If They Are Too Tight By Hearing This Noice, However On The Hks It Always Makes This Sound.

With T-2slow And Pushing 14psi Does Anyone Have A Desired Setting They Like To Have Theres, # Of Turns IN Or Out Perhaps.

The adjust screw is a boost leak zone, and since i was having problems with boost leaks, I took out my screw completely and JB Welded up the hole. No problems with it, and I heard a lot of other people do the same thing.
 
watched your vid, nice by the way, however mine sounds alot different then yours, from what I hear yours sounds just like a type s, but all I need to know is how many pounds you are pushing, what turbo and how many full rotations in or out is your BOV adjusted.
 
did you recirculate it? Is there a rubber hose going from your bov to the intake pipe? when thyre reciruclated, they make that fluttering sound.
 
yea mine flutters recirculating or non recirculating ...i have it recirculating. Need to know wqhere abouts most of you ADJUST yours at, meaning how many times you screwed the bolt 360 in or out........LOL..damn , thks for the comment though
 
I'm having the same dang problem with mine. It flutters worst at part throttle. It makes the whole car jerk. I've backed it out until it's about to fall out.

What gives with the silly little filter thing that shipped with it? It fell apart after a week.

I'm starting to hate this thing because of damage that it's causing to my intercooler. The couplers on my MAF are swelling like an accordion, and the flutter is making it work my front mount intercooler's outlet pipe back-forth-back-forth and breaking the end tanks off of it from metal fatigue. It's breaking the welds in half. I have tons of pics if you want to see it.

I guess I missed that in my initial search. At least now I know the adjustment screw does "nothing", although I must admit that I have noticed a change in how badly the car jerks when the bov chatters. Still, it won't stop it from chattering and it looks like I'm stuck with it. If I bought a TIAL bov, it won't fit this flange, will it?
