I've got this mildly loud tapping sound coming from my engine. It's not constant, because as I'm driving it will go away from time to time. It gets faster as the engine RPM increases, but it doesn't get any louder. As I was replacing my exhaust manifold gasket and studs this last weekend, I noticed that 3 of my exhaust valves were moist and a coupld others weren't looking their best either. What do I do about this loud valve problem? I'm sure it's affecting my compression, and I probably have bad valve guides. Is it a total PITA to replace valve guides and seals in this car? Am I going to have to replace the loud valve(s)? :talon:
