Running extremely rich just over idle need help

hey guys, this is the issue, my 90 gst has mood swings, but every now and then it trys to act right but then starts right back to running rich, this is the best way that i can describe it, when i crank the car up it seems to run right, but as soon as i press the gas pedal the stock boost gauge wants to act like the car is boosting 10 lbs and the car sputters at 1500 and dumps black smoke out the tail pipe and basically bogs itself down until it nearly cuts itself off and from that point at idle the car runs rough like it is trying to cut off and the stock boost guage actually in positive 1 to 2 lbs range and the car smokes constantly. hear now is the strange thing, i replaced the mas thinking that it was my problem but it still does the same thing but if i remove the intake hose off of the mas and let the hose still kinda hang near the opening of the mas where it can pull some air through the mas but not the full amount, the car then seems to want to run right, strange, i can't figure it out , that is why i am asking anybody out there, so please, please, please, help

First thing to do is check (or replace) the following:

- fill in your vehicle profile so can better help
- Replace Fuel Filter if age unknown
- Replace Plugs if age unknown (NGK BPR7ES recommended)
- Check Intake for leaks (if you 're venting your BOV.. don't)
- Check Engine Base timing (s/b 5*BTDC)
