Please Help, I cant Find Promblem

My car will not run right at all. If I start it right now it will stay buried in lean then slowly creep to rich. It stumbles the whole time, barely runs. It will stay pig rich unless you rev it it will go to lean. If you hold the rpms it will catch up and go rich again. It always stumbles horribly though and shakes.
I installed a maft blow through with a translator about a weak ago and it has run great until I raced an R-32 on the highway last night, no problem at all but after I pulled off and to a stop it shut off. it started up and did this. Plus O2s were cycling extremely fast under acceleration and cruise.
All the injectors are fine and firing.
Fuel pressure is fine.
Its getting spark in all cylinders.
The maft shows no errors.
Check engine light is not on, it came on briefly but shut off.

Any help would be very great. Thanks.

P.S. My datalogger I got off a friend isnt working so I cant check anything from the ecu. If I cant solve this I will end up buying a new one.
 
I am "diagnosing" with the means that I have, that just hapens to be an air fuel ratio gauge since my datalogger is broken :thumbdown . But by doing this I have figured out that it is acting like a motor does when it doesn't have a maf signal. So since I just did the GM maf a little bit ago, I will suspect that. So until I get a datalogger, I will play around with that and the stock one to see if I can fix it. And if that doesn't work, I can always grow a mullet and buy an old camaro :laugh: .
 
deffinately sounds like a MAF problem to me

check that ur couplings are leaking from around the MAF itself, and that it's all connected properly.. and wiggle the plug around.. maybe something got lose... check ur connections..

I'm thinking of goin to MAF-T myself... did u see a noticable improvement when goin from MAS to MAF?
 
Spool-up was quicker and the turbo is much louder now that sound can escape out the intake pipe + filter. My friend said it almost sounds like a super-charger now.
Plus I get this wierd woosh sound when i shift :cool: .

Also, why do you think it is a maf problem, did you have a problem with one?
 
I found 1 problem, the o ring on the injector at the manifold was blown out. Fixed it, no more boost leaks but car still idles extremely rough. No problems with the maf or the connectons. The car souds like it is almost trying to run on 3 cylinders. When I went to pull the plug wires while it was runing I noticed that pulling #1 didn't make a big difference in the way it ran and if i did this it would spark between the wires at the coil, ahh! Do you guys think bad wires could cause the car to run like this?
 
my friend had a similar problem to yours, when he started from a stop, his rpms would go way down a bog (automatic) and after a few seconds it would be fine. His problem was bad wires. Don't know if will help, but anyway.
 
Wires wern't it, just got some NGK's and it didn't solve the problem.
I am starting to suspect the coil, I just pulled it out and I will see if I can get another from a friend.
Has anyone ever had a problem with a Coil?
 
I don't think it is coil or the power transistor because those would cause a definate misfire or no-fire and then I thought TPS maybe? It checked out fine, and the O2 sensor is only like 3 months old. Maybe it is just leaking injectors. what do you guys think? I pulled all the injectors and they open and close just fine, but I think they may be leaking under pressure. I am running 38psi(vacume line off) with a walboro 255.
I would replace the injectors but the only ones I have are some brand new 650's and I didn't want to put them in until I got all this sorted out.
I might just set the maft for 650's and put em in just to see.

Also, I checked the coolant temp sensor thinking it was broke and not alowing the computer to kick into closed loop and making it dump fuel but it was fine.
It was a long shot but another mechanic at my work said that could be it.

What else would cause this? Or what other sensors affect the fuel system?

P.S. Datalogger is in the mail, hopfully I can solve the problem when it gets here.
 
I made my first log tonight, at idle O2's stay .88-.90 flat, unless I rev it. Then they will drop to .0 as I do this airflow will go up and down normally. But then I noticed the TPS, It does nothing but bounce around between 0 and 12 rapidly. The gas pedal has no affect on it.
Also, the idle possition switch will not turn off, even if unpluged.

I think my original (14year old) ECU is bad, what do you guys think?
