I just overhauled mi car with JE 9.0 Forged Pistons and now that i'm reaching the 1000 miles(the engine it's now "settle"/ has been break in)...it began to make a "ticking noise"just like diesel engine..first we tought that it was de lifters(which i've never change), but i have a friend that have the same pistons and he has the same noise and change the lifters and it keep on sounding, and the shop that sell him the pistons said it was a normal sound on forged pistons.
Has anybody have this same problem?Help, I don't want to waste money on something that it's not damage.

Its called piston slap, it happens on forged pistons because they expand differently than the cast ones do.

It can usually be cleared by revising the pisont-wall clearance. Which essentially means another tear-down.
