If I run my car hard for a long time 10-20 miles when I come to a stop the oil light will come on when at idle as soon as I put my foot on the gas the light is off

Ok...I have tried a couple diffrent oils and weights...I have changes the oil sensor rely, but I think the problem lies somewhere in the oil getting too hot....

Any suggestions?, anyone with the same problem?

whats your oil pressure? im guessing this isnt your problem but when my 7 bolt was on its way out w/the walk the oil light would be on everytime i came to a stop. i had almost no oil pressure. what a peice of shit gotta love 6 bolt swaps

When idling hot it is normal for the gauge to be barely above the low point on the gauge, my old talon light used to flicker at stop lights, but it is not normal for the light to stay on while idling. In my talon I switched to 20w50 and that kept the light off, you might want to connect a gauge and check the actual oil pressure in lbs to tell if you are in need of some engine work.good luck :thumb:

1) Make sure you have enough oil in the engine

2) Switch to heavier weight oil (assuming you use 30weight like the manual says)

3) Check to see if the oil sending unit is malfunctioning. I can post directions verbatim from the shop manual on how to test it if you need them.
