Guys please help me out....

A couple of weeks ago, i had to replace my altenator because oil got onto it and messed it up. So i got a new one. I put the new one in, installed everything correctly. I drove the car back and fourth to work for a couple of days and all the sudden the battery dies on me. Come to find out the altenator isnt charging the battery. So i took the altenator back and got a new one made sure that it worked. I put the altenator back in charged up my battery and drove the car. As i was driving my car i noticed that all my lights where fading in and out. After driving it for a couple more days, the battery died on me again. I bought a new battery ,and today it died on me. What is causing a drain or the altenator to not charge the battery.
If the altenator relay switch was bad would that cause the battery to not charge up.

Check to see that the fusible link on the wire from the alternator to the battery is'nt blown.

next.

Take a volt/amp meter.. Set it up for amps. Disconnect the positive cable and run the meter in between it and the battery. If there is a ignition off drain it will show up on the meter.

I just replaced my Clutch, and everything was fine before that. But I had to jump start the car because the battery was low, then today(2days after clutch install) I am driving and my gauge lights start to get really really dim. I was adjusting the clutch pedal before this and it was pretty bad, so I stalled out and the car wouldnt even crank over. So my question is does this sound like a bad altenator, because it wasnt charging while i was driving and I have had some power steering fluid leaking onto it. Any help is apreciated, thanks.

*Edit* I forgot to mention that i had to buy i new positive batt. terminal because mine was so bad i couldnt make it tight. So dont know if that helps.
