My driver side headlight keeps going out...the low beam.

When i first noticed that i had a headlight out...i replaced it...everything worked fine for about a week...and then it went out again.

It seems that the only place i can find a headlight relay is at the dealer...and it's prepay only.
I'm on a super low budget...so if anyone has any ideas that are gonna cost less than a new relay which is $25...that would be greatly appreciated.

If you think it's a short somewhere...could you please give me some info on how to test and find it...thanks.

Well if your low beam on the other side works, it can't be the relay since it runs both. Sounds to me like the connector to it is intermittently bad (they often get all clogged up with mud or corrosion). Manually connect 12 volts on the low beam to verify if it really is the light or not.

well...the original plug was all corroded inside...however i also couldn't find any plugs that had the correct pattern at any auto stores around here...so i used some wire connectors and just plugged them straight to the lamp...still no low beam.

i guess i should check the new headlamp to see if it's the problem this time...as mentioned above...can i just run a wire from my battery directly to the lamp outlits do do this?...i'm not quite sure how to achieve this method of testing...

thanks.
