Ok so I have a 1996 gsx and today i was driveing along and it backfires or it was a loud knock, I look back and theres this blue/white smoke just pouring out and when it idels the smoke just surrounds the car. It smells like i dunno.. burnt oil maybe. Also the turbo started making a weird noise. It sounds like a vacum cleaner and makes a very loud wine / wistle noise. Checked oil it was full but it was really black and smelled burnt. collant was bone dry :( so i filled it up with water, tempurature still runs high now though. I think the turbos bad. Anyone?

sounds like you blew your headgasket. Do a compression test, and let us know. Where you boosting when this happened, or just a random bang? When I blew my headgasket on my Stang, it was just off a startup, loud bang, whit esmoke everywhere, loss of coolant, etc.

Ya i was boosting when it happened leaving a stop light...I will do the compression test tomorrow.
