Well just got into an accident and my front end is messed up pretty bad. We had to drive to the gas station and upon getting out I noticed that antifreeze was leaking. I turned the car off and soon after the fluid stopped leaking. (I think it mightve come from the radiator reserve bottle after impact since it was near empty when I got home and the top was off.) Now the thing is I am hearing a hissing sound coming from the radiator area and the car is OFF. what could that be. I have it parked outside and upon going outside 15min later the car is still hissing. What could be causing this problem? Th car drove fine no signs of overheating or anything.

Hello thanks for the reply any other suggestions as it is coming up on about 1hr and it is still hissing. The hiss is low and not loud at all you have to practically be right near the front to actually hear it. Do you think something is punctured? Dang and I just bought that radiator too :( I dont see any leakage coming from under the car, but I hear the hissing still.

Did you fill it back up yet, the crack could be above the water line if it's pretty empty. Fill it back up with water and try and locate the leak.

yep it has to be punctured somewhere i was filling it up and then the leak started again. Oh just great a brand new radiator gone to the garbage. Is is possible to fix leaks or does it require a whole new radiator?

If it's just a hair line crack, try jb weld, sounds like you have a pretty big leak though. Also make sure it's not being twisted due to the accident. Good luck.

aww man looks like imma new a new radiator support, front bumper, headlights, hood, and maybe a new radiator. I might as well scrap the car. I have a hood the same color and some 97 eclipse headlights, but it is the radiator support that is going to cost me in labor getting it installed.
